“I’ve never seen anything like this before…” With these words, Dr. Ahmad Abu Sweid, an Australian emergency physician from the Medical Mission Team 35, began his testimony from inside the reception area of Nasser Medical Center in Gaza. The emergency rooms are overflowing with the injured, and doctors are working under unimaginable pressure amid a severe shortage of medications and medical supplies.
